Brum Booty

THE STAND

First of all a few shots of the stand with some of the volunteers:

I had to take a picture of this cute baby. Not only was there a lovely smile which I didn't get a chance to snap but babe was all decked out in knitted clothes and carrying a knitted babe!!

Here is Spinning Sue's mum modelling my shawl:

On the Friday I felt someone twiddling with my hair and turned around and got a shock. We had a fly by knit visitor:

SHOPPING/PRESSIE

I bought all of the following goodies:

I'd bought this cross stitch pattern in my local arts/crafts shop and had brought it with me to get all the threads for it cheaper than in my shop.

I'd been given £40 of vouchers for Wooly Workshop when I left my previous job and I used some of it on this Cherry Tree Hill laceweight merino. Its the peacock colouring and its my intention to use it for the Fiddlesticks Peacock Feather shawl which I also bought.

HipKnits were also there and I bought a skein of silk and I was cajoled into a skein of banana yarn. Its all because I complained that Kerry's patterns on her stand were all for girllies and none for boys so she told me to be creative and make something up from it. I'm thinking "keeping my mouth shut in future!".

This was a present. Slightly sobering reading it is that Martin features in it and is a baby!

Woolly Wormhead has a feature running regarding non-real sheep and I managed to snap a few. The two cross stitch pictures were on the stand right next door ours so am surprised nobody else beat me to it:
