SP Contest

Our hostess has asked us the following and must say I am slipping in just before the watershed with my answers!

1) What do you pack to knit? and 2) What do you hope to shop for?

Well assuming that I am going for a couple of weeks which I have not done for a number of years. I'd be travelling to South America. This is for me and as MM likes pyramids also keeps him happy ;-)

1. I'd have to pack a couple of shawls (Peacock Feather Shawl and Wedding Ring Shawl) on the basis that they are relatively light weight and leaves me plenty of room in my case for shopping.

2. Assuming that I am shopping for wool then would be a few alpaca fleeces so I could get them from the native source.

General Update

I am around but several things happening here.

1. Had a bonus of some vouchers from work last week but have to admit I can't find anything to spend them on just yet but I can't use them at Hobbycraft so that lets out yarn (although given no 1 that's not an issue.

2. Boiler is playing up. Its make an unearthly racket when running the hot water and keeps losing pressure. Had British Gas out on Saturday to it and they have apparently sorted out the pressure but not the noise.

3. Had a new washer dryer delivered yesterday and thats a lot quieter than the old one but the delivery people have damaged the base of the door frame taking the old one out.

4. To cap it all have got home tonight to find there has been a water leak from the bathroom into the lounge. It has happened just over the trunk I keep my best yarn in which is also next to all of my knitting books. Fortunately the yarn/books haven't been hit but the ceiling doesn't look too pleased.

Can someone please wake me up now from the nightmare ?

Dumps

and down in them. At the moment life isn't too jolly. Knitting wise I can't seem to make the projects play ball. Workwise - don't even go there! Got to take the cat to the vet tomorrow for a sample so have him meowing away complaing that he is being starved. Do you think Saturday I could win the lottery so I can retire to a desert island?

Way hay

Yes I know its spelt wrong! I've finished my secret project tonight at my local group. It took me three weeks to complete it. I don't count the week's break in between showing a friend of mine as she didn't think I was going to get it completed. I went to take it in last Saturday with it being 99% but her shop was shut so I didn't finish the last 1% so I could show it off to her first which I did. All I need to do know is to block it.
