A Face Pic
This little gentleman just doesn't seem to like showing his face to the camera so this pic came as quite a shock. He's still finding my nose extremely tasty and spends a couple of minutes every morning washing it for me :) He still enjoys an after lick nible as well though :(
Nothing much happening on the knitting/crochet front I'm afraid. Local group is meeting at my house again tomorrow night so best I'd better decide what I'm going to cast on for next. I wonder if I could fit the Wedding Ring Shawl in as we're in the Ravelympics now

Secret Pal Questions 8 & 9
Question 8: What is your favorite supper for a hot summer evening?
Again my appetite is the same winter and summer alike. I guess if I had to choose it would be chinese curry beef and rice - yummmmmmmmmmmmmm
Question 9: Have you ever entered your knitting (or anything else) in the fair? Would you ever consider it? ETA…for those of you who live in parts of the world w/o fairs…would you ever consider entering your knitting in a competition?
I entered in one in 2006 and came second.
I entered three last year and came second in all three.
This year I've entered none as not had anything done. I think my needles are feeling abandoned and gathering dust as been quite a while since I've picked them up!

Settling In
Well MonsterMog seems to have settled in really well. Unfortunately Cairo and Lara are still a bit against him at the moment. If I had a swear box for the pair of them I think I could have an all expenses trip paid for by now ;)
I took him to the vet yesterday and he's now been dosed for worms/fleas. Fortunately with our cats being indoors cats it is normally a case of once it has been done it's done. That said the only time they seem to pick anything up is after a trip to the vets. I have had words with him before about it and he has denied responsibility.
MM is very loving and affectionate and has decided that my pillow above my head is the perch for the night. No complaints here apart from the fact that when he decides it is playtime I'm at hand for claws and teeth. Now munching on fingers I don't object to but when was the last time you had a set of sharp teeth attack your nose - OUCH! He does of course make up for it by the lots of lovely licks he gives (which apparently is an indicatory sign of him feeling belongs in the pack) and he has got a lovely loud purr. I am hoping that he is going to be a lap cat as neither Cairo nor Lara are but I put this down to the fact that they had both been in the non-caring environment of a pet shop for some time between leaving their mum and coming to us. I know for a fact that Lara had been on her own in her cage for a week before I bought her as I'd seen her there the week before.
