Ravelry Update

Well after wasting an entire day yesterday just reading through Ravelry I thought that today I would put it to some use. This morning I had a lay in and then started straight on the unbloggable project. As I was starting to get a touch of cramp in my hands at 4.00pm I decided I'd jump on Ravelry again and update my stash. I've been putting my laceweight yarns on there today. The amount I have hasn't come as a shock but it is most definitely helpful to know WHAT I've got. I have been taking pictures as I've been listing everything but I will add them on a bit later once I've got them all listed.

***UPDATE***

Okay all of my laceweight is on there I think. Now I can move on to everything else. I am going to be taking advantage of this and have a clear out at the same time.

Whoops

All of my good intentions for today have slipped. It seems that I have spent all day exploring Ravelry. I wonder if there is a Ravelry Anonymous group out there somewhere!

AARRGGHH

Well tonight saw a journey home from hell. What normally takes me an hour to get home which includes walking from work to the train station, the train ride and the bus and waiting time took three hours. The train in front of ours had broken down and after a long wait it was decided that ours should push it along. Ours then broke down and at one point we were in total darkness for ten minutes. Once we finally got to the first station on the line an announcement went over the tannoy stating that it was only going to be calling at two stations - Keighley and Skipton. It was pouring down with rain and I walked through it up to the market square and waited for a bus.

There were two things though that made the journey particularly stressful. One was an eighteen year old girl who complained the entire journey. She complained about not being able to sit down, she was hot, she was thirsty, could her boyfriend's mother/father pick them up, they should have walked, people should rotate sitting down so she could sit down, she should say that she was pregnant that way she'd get a seat (albeit she wasn't). I must say though I was quite restrained by not saying anything. Are youngsters these days about having to make do?

The other thing though that was making it a nasty journey was I'd got a bag full of knitting with me that I could be getting on with but because I was stood up on a crowded train I couldn't do any so I wasted two hours opportunity :(

A Resolution

Not including when I am away from home of course but I have decided to post on the blog every day. Not sure how long it will last as I did try keeping a diary when I was younger and got fed up of trying to think of something to write other than "didnt do much today" as it was only me that read it. Now I'm keeping one in the public domain it may be something different.

My bedroom is looking slightly sparse now without the extra cage and it still seems weird but I have accepted regarding Little One. When I saw the vet on Monday it might be kidney/liver related but he couldn't say for certain. It wasn't a nice way to end the year I know but at least I know that the pain has ended for him. Dinner on New Years Day though was Rat and Mouse-room pie ;-)

Looking Forward to 2008

As I am still in the throes of writing my revisit of 2007 I thought I'd best do a little post.

One of my NY resolutions is that by the end of January all of my stash (yarn, books and needles) will be posted on Ravelry.

One knitting mojo issue. I'm looking around at various lace shawls at the moment in order to decide which to knit for this year's shows and nothing is really taking my fancy as I seem to have seen them all before and really want something new. Anyone any ideas?
